A letter to the person who found this page
Dear one,
I don't know exactly what brought you here. But I have a sense of who you are.
You feel more than most people around you. You walk into a room and already know things. You have carried what others couldn't name, quietly, for a long time.
You have also worked hard at your life. And for a long time the structure of it, the career, the role, the identity that came with the title, kept the anxiety manageable.
But something shifted. The structure changed, or is changing. And without it, something you have been outrunning is catching up. Not because you are broken. Because you have never had the space to find out who you are underneath all of it.
You have done the therapy. The books. The retreats. Pieces are still missing.
You are standing at a threshold.
Behind you is the life you built, and everything it cost you to build it. Ahead of you is something you can feel but not yet name. And right here, in this in-between place, the anxiety is loudest. Because you are at the edge of what is known. Because the next step requires you to trust something in yourself that has been very quiet for a very long time.
That is not a sign that something is wrong. That is the feeling of being exactly where you are supposed to be.
On the other side of this threshold, you may find the anxiety releasing in a way it never quite has before. The fear of being fully yourself begins to loosen its grip. You find a path that is actually yours and you walk it with a confidence that surprises you. And your light, the one you have been dimming for so long, you shine it. Not because it stops feeling risky. But because you finally have the courage and the tools to shine it anyway.
I know this threshold because I lived at it for most of my life. I made myself smaller than I was. In my marriage. In my collaborations. In every room where I felt the pull to take up less space.
The horses showed me what I couldn't see. They don't respond to who you are performing. They respond to who you actually are. That gap is where the work lives.
One session usually finds the root. Not the story told about it. The place where it actually lives. Clients describe it as veils peeling. As days of feeling like themselves for the first time. As the fighting mode finally loosening its grip.
I have been doing this work for twenty years at Dreaming Horse Ranch, and in Peru, where I received a direct lineage initiation from Q'ero paqos and became a Mesa carrier.
I will see you. Not the version you have been presenting. The real you. The you who has been waiting for someone to say: there you are! You are not too much. You never were.
That is what I do.
With love,
Iva
